Leila Montemayor R.AC
A smooth circulation in the body is a condition necessary for the body to heal. When circulation is impeded, turbulent or uneven, pain and symptoms arise. Leila’s goal in her treatment is to restore optimal circulation to the problem area or organs. In her practice, she uses various acupuncture techniques to address a variety of patient issues and she customizes her treatment based on one’s need and level of tolerance. Most of her patients see her to manage pain as her technique for musculo-skeletal pain and headaches most often produces instant results. During her treatments, she considers herself as a mere facilitator of the whole healing process. By stimulating an optimal flow in the problem area, the body does what it has naturally evolved to do. That is, to heal itself. She also sees patients for other issues such as digestive, pregnancy and stress.
Leila graduated from Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, and is continuously learning and improving her craft through continuing education and self-study for she considers learning medicine as a life-long process and adheres to the philosophy that giving one’s best means one should always be better than he/she was yesterday. As the great Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said, “To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.”
